Autofusion Corporation, founded in January 1998 and headquartered in San Diego, is a leading provider of products and services for automotive e-commerce. The company’s offerings facilitate significant sales efficiencies for dealers by helping consumers select cars and matching consumer selections with dealer inventory at the best prices.
New-car dealers, as well as portals and auto-related sites, are increasing revenues with Autofusion’s solutions. The Autofusion Configurator is at the core of Autofusion’s Suite of Products and Services, which also includes MatchMaker, Exact Search, Smart Search and Automine. These products are featured on CarPrices.com, Autofusion’s successful consumer Web site, as well as on several prominent third-party sites.

Roy van Beaumont, Chief Executive Officer
Prior to co-founding Autofusion in 1998 and launching CarPrices.com, van Beaumont worked as a software consultant for several companies, including Community Care Network and Vanstar Corp. (formerly ComputerLand). Van Beaumont received his bachelor of science in computer science from the University of Missouri, Rolla.
Van Beaumont left AutoFusion in Oct 2000 to pursue other interests in Internet Marketing. Van Beaumont returned to AutoFusion as CEO in April 2006.
Ahmed F. Ghouri MD, Cofounder and Director
Ahmed's passion for automobiles, car racing, and the internet led to the founding of Autofusion with Roy van Beaumont in 1998. Ahmed successfully led the corporation, as its first CEO, from seed financing to profitability. Dr. Ghouri is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, principal author of 68 scientific publications, and inventor of 8 issued and pending US patents. He received his MD degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he also completed a biomedical engineering/clinical research fellowship. Ahmed has been a Phase III pharmaceutical co-investigator, and his research was instrumental in the FDA approval of the industry-leading drugs flumazenil (Romazicon) and desflurane (Suprane). Dr. Ghouri was formerly an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, and an attending anesthesiologist at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, CA. He is also a cofounder of SafeMed Inc., a company which develops intelligent patient-safety tools, and whose customers include leading insurers and Fortune 500 companies.
William Kao, Chief Technical Officer
Prior to joining Autofusion Corporation in 1998, Kao was a principal architect for VROne, a Ventura, Calif-based Internet Service Provider. He also worked as a software engineer at Telos Information Systems, specialized in data archival and retrieval systems for JPL, NASA and as sr. system administrator at Yahoo! Kao received his bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
Kao left Autofusion in June 2003 to pursue other interests in internet marketing and returned to Autofusion as CTO in May 2006.
Lance Johnson , VP Sales
Before joining Autofusion in 2006 Johnson founded Performance Financial & Reality Services based in Southern California. With strong financial knowledge and sales leadership his mission is to supply dealers with products and services that produce tangible results. Johnson received his bachelor of science in computer science from the Coleman College in San Diego, California. With his technical knowledge and sales abilities he plans to work with automotive professionals to develop successful sales strategies.
